FINE ART SCANNING

The digital capture of your art is the most important step in the process of fine art reproduction. Your print can only be as good as the scan. Our Better Light high-resolution 4×5 digital scanning back camera is considered by museums to be the finest technology available for capturing fine art. We can digitally capture artwork in sizes of up to 6’x8′ without touching the surface of the artwork.

OUR FINE ART SCANNING SERVICE

We can scan almost anything including but not limited to:  Oil Paintings and Acrylic Paintings, Charcoal and Pastel Drawings, Watercolours, Detail Pen and Ink Drawings, Collage and Mixed Media Works, Framed Antique Works

FILM SCANNING

For film and slide scanning we use either Epson Flat Bed or Nikon Cool Scanner. We have found this to produce good quality scans in most cases, and is very cost effective, providing a good balance of quality and at an affordable price.
We have worked with archive services and over the years we have scanned a number of strange and odd objects, be it, glass negatives, maps on goat skin, rolls of honour, even parts of F1 cars. Nothing is too strange, so please don't hesitate to contact us.

SCANNING FOR GREETINGS CARDS

We can scan artwork at a lower resolution (and cost ) where it is only to be used for greetings card production.

PROOFING

We proof check all of the scans we produce before printing but if you would like to see a test print please ask.

Prints from digital files that are submitted for direct output printing must be .tiff format at 300dpi and 100% resolution.  SYFAP cannot be held responsible for the colour output of files supplied and would recommend that a proof is agreed before printing.
